California Pizza Kitchen Closes Cherry Hill Mall Location

CHERRY HILL, NJ — A pizza eatery that set up shop at the Cherry Hill Mall and served a variety of pies has closed its doors. California Pizza Kitchen at the Cherry Hill Mall has closed permanently, according to a recording left at the restaurant’s listed phone number.

The restaurant’s social media page has also been removed, and it is no longer listed on the restaurant’s website. No reason has been given for the closure. It averaged four stars among those who reviewed it on Google when it was opened.

“My wife and I went during Ramadan, and were fasting,” one person wrote. “Our server, Woody, took our orders and was very understanding when we said we wanted to wait to order because we couldn't eat until sundown. She worked with us and set up our order so we would get drinks and soup exactly on time, and the rest of our food came shortly after that. Definitely service that is above and beyond.”

“Good place for food and drinks,” another wrote. “Just need more food on the menu to choose from, but other than that, it's really good here!”

Not all reviews were positive, though.

“I could understand if the place was slammed that service maybe a notch off, but there was just no excuse to be a poor as it was,” one person wrote.

“I sat at the bar to eat, and even though the restaurant was almost empty, the bartender was rude & wouldn't even take my order for a draught beer for about 5 minutes, as he said he had other drinks to make,” another wrote. “Then, when the beer came, it was skunky, so I got up & walked out.”

It appears as though a new pizza place may be moving in. Midiciis scheduled to open at the Cherry Hill Mall, between Bahama Breeze and Fatburger, according to South Jersey Food Scene.

Midici specializes in neapolitan pizza, according to its website. No opening date has been listed.
