Natasha Gerald became the second person charged with hindering in the investigation of Gabrielle Hill-Carter's death.

A Sicklerville woman has become the second person charged with hindering an investigation in connection with the shooting death of an 8-year-old girl in Camden last month, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said Wednesday night.

Natasha Gerald, 19, was charged with third-degree hindering the investigation by providing a false alibi for a person of interest in the fatal shooting of 8-year-old Gabrielle Hill-Carter on South 8th Street on Aug. 24.
The charge carries a potential sentence of five years in state prison.

The announcement of the latest charges came on week after 35-year-old Shakia Land, of Camden, was charged with one count fourth degree hindering an investigation in the fatal shooting.

The 8-year-old girl known as Gabby was outside her house around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 24 when she was caught in a cross-fire between two groups of people and shot in the head.

She was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where she died later that week.

The suspects were able to speed off in a car away from the scene. Police say they are searching for a black male who was last seen fleeing the area wearing dark clothes.

Detectives are actively investigating this case and need anyone with information to come forward. The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $76,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her death.
