More than 100 men, women and children will shave their heads this weekend to show solidarity with kids with cancer and raise money to Conquer Childhood Cancers!
Worldwide, a child is diagnosed with cancer every three minutes, and one in five children diagnosed in the U.S. will not survive. With only 4 percent of all federal cancer research funding dedicated to pediatric cancer research, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation continues the battle against this devastating disease with the help of volunteers, supporters and donors.
There will also be a classic car show the day of the event. Registration takes place online at BFCcarshow@gmail.com. Cost is $25 the day of the event.
There will be a Chinese auction, and 50/50 raffles throughout the day.
Event organizers are seeking vendors, at a cost of $25 for the space, plus 10 percent of the profits. There will be music and face painting. Organizers are asking for a $10 donation at the door.
Over the last three years, hundreds of people have shaved their heads at the local event. There has been community involvement from local schools, and over $100,000 has been raised.
