Triton, Haddonfield Baseball Teams Suffer First Losses Of Season
Triton's first loss came on Thursday at Hammonton, but they rebounded to hand Haddonfield their first loss two days later.
Two South Jersey high school baseball teams that were previously unbeaten suffered their first losses of the season in the last week.
Triton suffered its first defeat on Thursday, April 25, when it fell to Hammonton, 8-1, according to nj.com. Hammonton took a lead with five runs in the bottom of the third inning and never looked back. Jake Snyder scored Triton’s lone run in the top of the fifth to give Triton a brief lead.
Triton bounced back two days later, when it handed Haddonfield its first loss of the season, 3-2,according to nj.com.

Colin Taylor picked up the win, striking out one and allowing four hits and one run in four innings of work. Taylor, Ray Spraggins and Thomas Hughes each had an RBI in the win. Triton improved to 9-1.
Chris Brown threw a complete game for Haddonfield, striking out six batters and permitting nine hits and three runs. Steve DiTomaso was 1-for-4 with an RBI for Haddonfield, which dropped to 8-1.

On Thursday, Haddonfield had picked up its eighth win of the year with a 12-2 win over Paulsboro, according to nj.com.
