WATCH: Dr. Oz On Scene Of Highway Accident In South Jersey

There were no fatalities in the Sunday morning crash involving Baltimore high school students.

A famous doctor was on the scene of a fiery crash in South Jersey over the weekend. Dr. Mehmet Oz — AKA Dr. Oz — happened upon the scene of a bus fire on the New Jersey Turnpike in Camden County on Sunday. (See the video from the scene attached to this post.)

“Earlier today I happened upon this bus fire on the New Jersey Turnpike,” Oz said in the post. “The passengers were students from a high school in Baltimore who were on their way home after seeing the musical ‘Wicked’ in New York City. Luckily no one was hurt, and the students were able to save their instruments — some even braving the danger to protect these prized possessions. As the courageous driver, Anthony Townes, explained, the wheel of the bus caught on fire. I’m just so thankful everyone made it out safe and sound.”

The accident occurred in the southbound lanes of the turnpike at about 11:30 a.m. on April 22, according to nj.com. The road was closed for about an hour, and the students were picked up by a replacement vehicle.
