Centenary Adjunct Professor Jared Harel will read his long poem, "Body Double," at the Taylor Memorial Library at the college on Oct. 9.
The Body Double is a long poem that explores the nature of self, challenging conventional notions of identity. It centers around a downtrodden young man who wakes one morning to discover a mysterious doppelganger living with him. Together they go through life, hanging out with his girlfriend and more, but as the body double becomes more self-aware, things begin to change, and tensions between the original and copy quickly escalate.
