'Hotboxing' Car Leads To Arrest Of 3: Hackettstown Police
Hotboxing, when a car gets filled up with marijuana smoke, lead police to arrest three.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Three were arrested after police found them "hotboxing" their car in a college parking lot, Hackettstown police said.
Around 2:30 a.m. on May 5, police found a car parked at Centenary University with its running lights on and the windows fogged up. When an officer went towards the car, the driver's side door opened and a "puff of smoke" that smelled like burnt marijuana came out.
Hotboxing is when people smoke inside of a closed-up car, filling the car with marijuana smoke.

Steven Vazquez of Summit, P.A., Audwin Newell Jr. of Saddle Brook, Jason Sutton of Teaneck, all 21, were smoking from the same marijuana cigarette, police said.
Vazquez was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and being under the influence of controlled dangerous substance. Newell was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and being under the influence of controlled dangerous substance. Sutton was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of controlled dangerous substance.

All three were released pending a court appearance.
