• 358 Traffic Stops in One Holiday Weekend Led to 10 Arrests in North Jersey (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Hackettstown police led a major Labor Day weekend traffic crackdown that produced 358 stops, 103 summonses and 10 arrests across Morris and Warren counties, focusing on speeding, distraction and impaired driving. Local officers coordinated with nine nearby agencies, and they're warning Hackettstown drivers that stepped-up regional enforcement and DWI patrols will continue to target unsafe behavior on area roads.
   

• NJ rents continue to rise. Mercer County saw the biggest jump over the past year. • Jersey Vindicator (jerseyvindicator.org) — If you rent in Hackettstown, new federal HUD estimates show Warren County rents have climbed sharply over the past decade, especially for three-bedroom apartments. While still cheaper than Hudson or Mercer, local rents for everything from studios to four-bedrooms are rising, reflecting pressure from pricier counties to the east and shaping what Hackettstown families may pay in coming years.
   

• Kean honors 24 seniors from 7th District for community service (wrnjradio.com) — Two Hackettstown residents, Candace "Candy" Church and Ann LaPadula, were singled out for their years of volunteer work during Rep. Tom Kean Jr.'s Seniors of Distinction ceremony. Their efforts include preserving Rutherfurd Hall, supporting youth through 4-H, and improving parks, trails, and senior programs in Allamuchy and Warren County. Their recognition underscores how Hackettstown neighbors quietly strengthen the wider region.
