Spring Festival Coming Up In Hackettstown

Here's what you need to know about the upcoming festival.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Celebrate spring at the Hackettstown Spring Festival, coming up in town this weekend.

The fest runs from May 4 to May 6 on the fields behind Centenary University on Fifth and Reese Avenues (May 4: 6 p.m. - 10 p.m., May 5: 12 p.m. – 10 p.m., and May 6: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.). The event promises fun for the whole family. Some of the events include candy and activity courtesy of Mars Wrigley Confectionary, a "teddy bear hospital" where children can fix up old teddy bears, food vendors, live entertainment, and more.

Admission is free, but ride tickets will be for sale. You can buy pre-sale tickets (30 tickets for $30) at Mama's Restaurant and Cafe Baci, Jack’s Scissor Wiz, Panther Valley Pharmacy, Hackettstown Medical Center's Foundation Office, and the Hackettstown BID office. Unlimited wristbands for rides will be available for Friday night ($30) and Sunday afternoon ($25). Tickets sold at the festival will cost $2 per ticket; most rides take two to three tickets.

Those driving to the event should park at the Hatchery Field off of Fifth Ave. Once the lots are filled, Fifth Ave will close. Reese Ave will be closed for the whole weekend.

There will be no parking along the following streets:

  • South side of Fifth Ave from Grand Ave to Hatchery Hill School
  • Both sides of Reese Ave from First Ave to Fifth Ave
  • North side of Fourth Ave from Grand Ave to the Cul-de- sac
  • South side of Robins Ct from Grand Ave to the Cul-de- sac
  • Both sides of Grand Ave.

Anyone parked in a no parking zone, on private property with no permission, or in a handicapped spot without a placard/plates will be ticketed and towed, police said.
