Water Main Break Closes Part of Miller Street

A water main break forced the closure of Miller Street between Lafayette Street and Park Avenue Monday afternoon, police said.

The break occurred around 1 p.m. Monday, and the Hackettstown Municipal Utilities Authority was on the scene repairing the pipe for the entire afternoon.

The road reopened just before 6:30 p.m., according to Hackettstown Police.

A detour was established in the area and motorists were advised to expect an alternate route.
