4 Shot, 1 Killed In Camden Shooting: Police

Police continue to investigate a shooting in which one person was killed and three others were injured over the weekend.

Three people were injured and one was killed in a shooting in Camden over the weekend, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson announced.

Camden County Police were in front of a home on the 600 block of Ferry Avenue when they heard gunshots at about 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, police said. As they approached a “residential speakeasy,” they saw people running out of the house, police said.

They found four people who had been shot, and all four were taken to Cooper University Hospital, police said.

Rasean McCormick, 27, of Camden, was pronounced deceased at about 4:30 a.m. The other three, all Camden residents continued to receive treatment. They were only identified as a 35-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests had been made as of Monday.
