$90K Raised At Camden County 5K For Families Who Have Lost Babies
This was the most successful year yet for Virtua Health's Run with the Docs fundraiser, for families experiencing pregnancy or infant loss.

VOORHEES, NJ — Participants raised more than $90,000 to support families who have faced the tragedy of losing an infant, or a baby in the womb, recently at a 5K event in Voorhees.
Virtua Health's annual Run With the Docs was the most successful to date, the South Jersey health system said. Money raised provides families experiencing loss with "access to a multi-disciplinary range of services that offer comfort and support during an exceedingly difficult time."
The Jersey String Band Mummers escorted 1,200 runners and walkers to the starting line for the 5K run and one-mile walk, Virtua said in a news release.

The walk was September 17, 2022 to raise money for Virtua’s Perinatal Bereavement and Palliative Care Program.
Ann Coyle, manager of the perinatal bereavement program, said the community's outpouring of support has always been strong, "but this year was just terrific."

“It’s so important that grieving patients and families get the right kind of support at the right time," said Coyle, a registered nurse certified in Neonatal Intensive Care. "The funding from Run with the Docs allows us to help families endure an immeasurable tragedy.”
