Camden County Police To Receive Donation Of 400 Children's Masks

Camden County police will receive a donation of 400 children's masks from the Camden County Council for Young Children.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — The Camden County Police Department will receive a donation of 400 children’s facial masks and ‘My Kente Mask’ books from the Camden County Council for Young Children (CCCYC) on Thursday, county officials announced.

The packets, a recent publication by authors Dr. Juanita White and her husband George H. White, III, include a child size face mask, along with a book explaining the history of the Ghanaian cloth and their importance in combating the coronavirus.

“We are extremely grateful for the kindness and generosity shown here by Dr. and Mr. White,” Camden County Police Chief Joseph Wysocki said. “Our officers will be taking these books out into the community and getting them into the hands of families and children in the city. This will not only give them a colorful mask that they can wear, but reinforce the positive message throughout their home that this is a life-saving measure for our residents.”
