Cooling Centers In Haddonfield and Haddon Township To Remain Open Through The Weekend

Cooling centers in Haddonfield and Haddon Township will remain open through the weekend.

The centers were open from noon-7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday as an Excessive Heat Warning takes hold in South Jersey.

They will now also be open from noon-7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, as heat index values are expected to exceed 100 degrees each afternoon.

In Haddonfield, the cooling center is at the Maple Kay Center, 24 Walnut Street. It is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and the phone number is 856-354-8789.

In Haddon Township, the cooling centers are located at:

• Haddon Township Library, 15 McArthur Boulevard, open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Call 856-854-2752; and
• Father and Son Hall on Ormond Avenue, open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Call 856-547-2539.
