Tickets are on sale for the Sept. 22 event.

Two South Jersey brewers will supply the festive beverages - Kings Road of Haddonfield and Double Nickel of Pennsauken. Rode's Catering will serve the pulled pork, roasted chicken, pineapple stuffing and all the fixings.

“To me the most important thing about the Indian King Tavern is that the NJ Legislature voted to cease being a colony and to become a state in the Indian King Tavern,” says Philip Zoebisch, a volunteer, town crier and board member for the Friends of the Indian King Tavern Museum.

Visiting the Indian King Tavern Museum is like stepping back in time to the Colonial Era, with its period rooms, authentic décor and historical details. The Tavern is the location where New Jersey became a state in 1777. It is now a museum and important part of our state’s history.
