Rutgers Law School is offering anyone who has been arrested or convicted of a crime in New Jersey a free opportunity to learn about the options available to clear their record, officials announced.

Staff from Rutgers Law School will host a pair of information sessions in room 204 of Rutgers Law School in Camden the final week of February. The sessions will cover what crimes are eligible for expungement, and the steps required to complete that process.

They will take place on Monday, Feb. 25, and Thursday, Feb. 28, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Participants are welcome to attend either session, however only general information will be covered. Questions related to specific cases will not be discussed.

“Expungement can be a critical part of someone’s post-conviction life, but the process is complicated and it’s hard to know where to start,” Freeholder Jonathan Young, liaison to the Camden County Department of Correction and Juvenile Justice, said. “I encourage anyone who may have any questions about this process to attend one of these sessions and learn as much as possible from the excellent team at Rutgers Law School in Camden.”
