An art show on Saturday in Haddonfield also serves as a benefit for disadvantaged women.
The event honors women from the past and present who have impacted history, an organizer said.

HADDONFIELD — The annual “Through a Woman’s Eyes” art show takes place at The Haddon Fortnightly Clubhouse in Haddonfield from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, according to Meredith Simms, a Haddonfield High School Senior and one of the event’s organizers.
“All art is from female-identifying artists, high school aged and above,” Sims told Patch. “The art made is focused on our theme, which is “Honoring Hidden Women” and gives a voice to women, past and present, whose contributions have gone unrecognized.
The event also serves as a fundraiser for Girls Learn International, Simms continued. The organization, according to its website, “powers and educates middle and high school students to advocate for human rights, equality, and universal education in the U.S. and around the world.”

Simms said that admission is free – but “every $10 donation received during the art show will provide one meal a day for 10 days for girls served by Apne Aap” – a group that helps vulnerable women in India, according to its website.
The event is organized and run by Haddonfield Memorial High School’s 50/50 Club, in collaboration with The Haddon Fortnightly Evening Membership Department, according to an advertisement for the event.
