Haddonfield High School Football Team Captures Sectional Title
The Bulldawgs remained unbeaten and will play in the inaugural South/Central Group 2 bowl game at MetLife Stadium.

HADDONFIELD, NJ - The Haddonfield Memorial High School rode an game-opening kickoff return to a sectional title.
The top-seeded Bulldawgs defeated No. 2 Camden, 23-12, to capture the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 title, according to nj.com. Haddonfield improved to 11-0 and will play Central Jersey Group 2 champion Hillside in the inaugural South/Central Group 2 bowl game at MetLife Stadium.
Chris Brown took the opening kickoff nearly the length of the field for an 87-yard score. Haddonfield never looked back. Jay Foley threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to John Foley to put the Bulldawgs up 13-0 in the first quarter.

Camden cut into the lead with a 24-yard touchdown pass from Monte Williams to Corey Palmer to make the score 13-6 at halftime.
Henry Grozier’s 25-yard field goal in the third quarter extended Haddonfield’s lead, and Alex Kadar’s 3-yard run in the fourth quarter put the exclamation mark on the championship victory. Rameer Nock accounted for Camden’s other touchdown, a 1-yard run in the fourth.

Jay Foley and Gabe Klaus told nj.com they were able to draw on their experience in last year’s championship win over West Deptford to guide them to another sectional title.
Haddonfield will host Haddon Heights on Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 22), 11 a.m. before facing Hillside in the bowl game. That game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1, 4 p.m. For the full schedule of bowl games, visit nj.com.
Haddonfield advanced to the South Jersey final with a 28-6 win over No. 4 Pleasantville. In the first round, the Bulldawgs defeated No. 8 Sterling, 41-7.
