Hot Dog-Eating Contest In Haddonfield For Fourth Of July
How many franks can you down in 10 minutes? You can find out while supporting the Haddonfield Educational Trust.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Another Fourth of July tradition will make its way to Haddonfield, with a hot dog-eating contest benefitting the Haddonfield Educational Trust.
Participants will compete to see how many hot dogs and buns they can down in 10 minutes. The event begins immediately after the Haddonfield Independence Day Parade (approximately 11:30 a.m. July 4) at King's Road Brewing Company (131 Kings Hwy. E, Haddonfield).
Contestants must be 18 or older. Entry costs $30, or support as a noncompetitor for $20. Either way, the donation will get you a free "Hotdogs & Beer" t-shirt and a prepaid drink ticket for a King's Road beverage — you must be at least 21 to consume alcohol. Noncompetitors who donate $20 will also receive a hot dog done any way they like.

Competitive eating has been a July Fourth staple for quite some time, with the Nathan's Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest taking place annually in Coney Island, New York. Last year, competitive eater Joey Chestnut won the men's title for the 15th time after consuming 63 hot dogs in 10 minutes. The defending women's champion is Miki Sudo, who finished 40 hot dogs to secure her eighth title.
