New Haddon Township Commissioner Faces Contested Election This Spring

The non-partisan election is scheduled for May 9.

HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — New Haddon Township Commissioner Jim Mulroy is already facing a challenge for his seat in the May 9 non-partisan elections, njpen.com reports.

Ryan Linhart filed to run against Mulroy in the spring elections by the Monday afternoon deadline to file petitions, according to the report.

Mulroy was sworn in as Haddon Township’s newest commissioner on Monday, Feb. 28. He assumed the seat from John Foley, who resigned a week earlierto spend more time with family.

Linhart, a financial analyst at the University of Pennsylvania, was on the Haddon Township Shade Tree Commission from Sept. of 2011 through November of 2012, according to his Linkedin profile.
