Wanted in South Jersey: Sean M. Whitman

Whitman is wanted for failure to appear in Superior Court for a pre-trial conference on multiple charges of possession of marijuana.

Sean M. Whitman, 29, of Franklinville, is wanted by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office for failure to appear in Superior Court for a pre-trial conference on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana.

The charges stem from a traffic stop on July 18, 2013. A West Deptford police officer on patrol on Route 130 stopped a car with California license plates because of a broken tail light.

Whitman was driving the car. While the officer spoke with him, he detected a strong odor of marijuana and saw air fresheners on the rear-view mirror mount.
