When Haddy The Hadrosaurus Is 'Hungry,' What Does He Eat?
Think you know everything about Haddy the Hadrosaurus? You may need to think again.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Some Haddonfield residents and visitors don't just visit with Haddy the Hadrosaurus. Some feed the statue too.
If that has you wondering what Haddy — the replica of the duck-billed dinosaur that the Haddonfield Borough says weighed 15,000-pounds, was 25-feet-long and stood 10-foot-tall that once roamed New Jersey — eat?
Haddy Snacks.

Huh?
In case you don't know what one is, Haddy Snacks are pennies placed in a small, stuffed-animal-shaped bag like the one in the picture above, employees at Melange, one of the stores in downtown Haddonfield, told Patch.

The boutique hands out the Haddy Snacks — which are free, by the way — to its youngest customers, who in turn simultaneously feed the dinosaur and make a wish for themselves as they throw the pennies near Haddy as well as stay occupied while Mom and Dad (or other relatives) go shopping, Melange employees said.
"We know many of our customers are young and love the dinosaur," Melange employees continued. "We find it to be a fun distraction for our little shoppers, and they come to us looking for them now."
