Women in Wine NJ was founded in 2021 by South Jersey native Victoria Reader, cellar master and vineyard manager at Amalthea Cellars in Atco.

“I want to educate women on the opportunities in the winemaking industry and provide an inclusive environment for exchanging ideas, networking, and collaboration in the company of fellow wine growers," said Reader in a news release.

Devon Perry, executive director of the Garden State Wine Growers Association, said this networking event is an opportunity to meet some of the talented women working in NJ's wine industry. Those women working throughout the state's vineyards and tasting rooms, as well as behind the scenes, come from various backgrounds and levels of expertise, she said.

"As of 2022, more than 60 wineries and vineyards flourish throughout all corners of New Jersey's grape-loving acres, and we are thrilled to have these women represent New Jersey wine country with their leadership and expertise," Perry said.
