Board of Education Will Chose Among Seven Candidates to Fill Vacant Seat

Trustees will interview and vote Oct. 19

Seven candidates are being considered to fill the vacant seat on the .

The board of education trustees will meet and interview the candidates during the next work session meeting Wednesday, Oct. 19 and are expected to vote that same night during the public meeting, according to Dina Messery, school district business administrator. The person chosen will serve out the rest of the term until it expires next April.

Two-term board of education trustee Richard Giarratana resigned from the board last month stating that “it was time” and he had other personal matters to attend to.

Those who were interested in serving on the board of education had until Sept. 30 to submit letters of interest for consideration.
