Borough to Auction Former Police Vehicles and Unclaimed Items
Equipment installation for the police department's two new vehicles is almost complete

Vehicles no longer in use by the and will be auctioned off next week along with various other items such as electronic equipment, bicycles and office supplies, some of which was unclaimed.
The auction is set for Thursday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. down at the DPW yard on Plant Road. Funds raised by the items which are auctioned off in “as is” condition go back into the department’s general fund which in most cases is used to replenish equipment
The list of vehicles up for auction include four Chevy Impalas and one Ford Crown Victoria, which were once used as patrol cars and have since been deemed the oldest and therefore have been rotated out of the fleet.

The equipment installation into the department’s two new Chevy Caprice vehicles is almost complete. The black and white vehicles are reminiscent of the classic look, Chief Michael Colaneri told Patch previously. who pay the department a fee to keep a vehicle at a post while doing utility maintenance in the borough.
