Council Meeting Dates Adjusted for November
DPW will collect garbage for Zone 2 only on Election Day

Adjustments have been made to the borough council meetings dates and the DPW garbage collection calendar for the coming weeks as a result of Election Day on Nov. 8.
Normally the borough council meets on the second and fourth Thursday of the month but instead the Borough Clerk’s office has announced meetings will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15 and Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Also officials say DPW will pick up garbage for Zone 2 next Tuesday, Election Day, an exception as the borough no longer conducts garbage collection on holidays as an effort to reduce costs. However with two holidays falling in the same week as Veterans Day falls on Friday, Nov. 2 the area would have gone a whole week with no collection, with could be a potential hazard.
