A variety of produce and baked goods will be available every Tuesday at the Central Avenue parking lot.
The Central Avenue parking lot was milling with patrons Tuesday afternoon who were filling bags with fresh vegetables, fruits, and other goodies offered at the opening day of the Hasbrouck Heights Farmer’s Market.
George Asprocolas of Asprocolas Farms is back once again offering up a variety of fresh produce from potatoes to tomatoes, carrots, squash, pea pods, and herbs and more. Asprocolas said this is his tenth year at the Heights Farmer’s Market.

One can also get some cookies and other pastry delights as well at the Johnny One-Stop table another feature of the market. Based in Garfield, the bakery place is run by John and Roxanne Abramo. John Abramo said he and his wife have been a part of the Heights Farmer’s Market for the past three years.

They’ve been in the bakery business about 12 years in total. Offerings include cookies and other pastries which Abramo said are made fresh and packaged every day.
New to the Farmer’s Market this year is the Johnny Meatballs cart. Johnny who many may recognize from VH1s “My Big Friggin Wedding” (which had a segment filmed during the Hasbrouck Heights Farmer’s Market last summer) is a local guy from Wood-Ridge. His meatballs are also made locally at Star Ravioli in Moonachie. He plans to be back at the Farmer’s Market every Tuesday. In fact by mid-day this Tuesday he was already almost sold out.
Dr. Pickles is also back this year. A local company based in Paterson, the Dr. Pickles display has everything to offer from roasted red peppers, olives, mushrooms, pickled tomatoes, and of course, pickles.
