Patrons joined in the grand opening celebration for Heights Beer & Wine Emporium on Saturday afternoon.
Mayor Rose Heck and council people Pamela Link, Justin DiPisa, John Dingertopadre and Russell Lipari joined owners Jay Forlenza and Carl Mazzie for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Forlenza and Mazzie own the entire center on Route 17 south which they are looking to redevelop. Once it’s complete it will take on the name Heights Center, the owners said.
The grand opening event featured a wide range of offerings such as wine and liquor samplings, give-a-ways, a chance to win football tickets and a Coors Light Harley Davidson motorcycle. There was even a huge cake which was shared with all.

There are rows and rows of all types of wines, beers and thensome within the 12,500 square feet emporium. Mazzie said they carry just about everything and if they don’t have something they will get it.
A familiar face on the team is Charles Greico who serves as the general manager of the emporium. Many may remember him as the owner of the former Jersey Boys deli on the Boulevard.
