Heights Voters Favored Republicans Across the Board
Majority of votes went to the Republicans for local, county and state senate and assembly.

The majority of Hasbrouck Heights voters went in the direction of the Republicans not only on the local level, re-electing Mayor Rose Heck and Justin DiPisa and Pamela Link for council, but in the county and state as well, according to the latest election results.
Although district wide the Republicans lost the senate and assembly race, in Heights voters favored Republican John Driscoll over incumbent Democrat Robert Gordon with 1,283 votes over 1,032 votes respectively.
Heights voters also chose Republicans Fernando Alonso and Richard Goldberg for assembly with 1,206 and 1,194 votes respectively. Democratic incumbent Assemblywoman Connie Wagner received 1,045 votes, her running mate Timothy Eustace received 930 votes. Independent candidate Vinko Grskovic received 76 votes in total from Hasbrouck Heights voters.

In Heights, voters went for the Republican candidates for all Bergen County seats choosing Joel Brizzi and Anthony Rottino with 1,225 and 1,236 votes for Freeholder over Democrat winners David Ganz and Joan Voss, 859 and 912 respectively. Heights voters gave Edward Brunner, an Independent candidate, 108 votes.
For county clerk Heights voters went for Republican Elizabeth Randall with 1,291 and gave Democrat John Hogan 876 votes. Hogan was declared winner Tuesday morning defeating Randall by For county Surrogate, Democrat Michael Dressler beat out Republican challenger Anthony Cimuluca. Heights voters favored Cimuluca with 1,234 to 922 for Dressler.

Out of the 7,245 registered voters in Hasbrouck Heights a total of 2,376 voters came to the polls Tuesday, a light turnout compared to other years. Last November brought almost half of registered voters - 7,366 in 2010 - to the polls as 3,110 total votes were cast in an election that included a Congressional race.
Out of those 7,245 registered voters 2,516 are declared Republican over 1,621 who are declared Democrat. The remaining registered voters – 3,105 are undeclared according to the Borough Clerk’s office.
