Woodland Park Reopened, Veterans Memorial Park Ready for Services Friday

DPW clean-up after storm continues

Work began late last week and over the weekend to clean up borough parks following the rare October snowstorm of the previous weekend which caused much damage to trees and power lines around the borough.

Borough Administrator Mike Kronyak said Monday that the borough was now in good shape following the storm. , which was partially closed off last week due to downed power lines, has since been reopened.

Also the and have also been cleaned up following the storm. Both parks suffered a lot of tree damage, officials said last week. Veterans Memorial Park will be the site of the borough’s Veterans Day services which will be conducted this Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m

DPW workers will still be making the rounds through borough streets to pick up remaining tree limbs and branches from curbsides. Officials say they will continue to go around the town picking up this debris until it is all collected.
