Bald Eagle Eggs Expected To Hatch Any Day At Duke Farms
Duke Farms of Hillsborough announced the first of two bald eagle eggs laid is expected to hatch sometime around Wednesday.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Bird watchers are excitedly sitting at the edge of their seats and glued to Duke Farms live webcam as they wait for the first bald eagle chicks of the 2019 season to hatch.
Duke Farms of Hillsborough announced the first of two eggs laid is expected to hatch sometime around Wednesday, March 27.
The first egg was laid on Feb. 20 and the second on Feb. 23.

Bald eagles have been nesting in the same area year after year. In 2018, two eggs were also caught on camera at the nest around the same time of year but tragically failed to hatch. (See Related: Tragic Ending To Bald Eagle Eggs At Duke Farms)
In 2017, a pair of bald eagles were seen nesting, but no eggs were laid.

The webcam was installed by Duke Farms in 2008 on a tree adjacent to the bald eagle nest to provide a live look at the daily activities of the eagles. The live stream has more than 10 million viewers and is growing.
Duke Farms is located at 1112 Dukes Pkwy W in Hillsborough.
