Allegra Performers Rock Their School Musicals
Allegra School of Music and Arts students light up their local school stages in productions of The Music Man, Beauty and the Beast, and The Sound of Music.

I know first hand that Allegra’s kids are multi-talented and perform in all areas of their lives. They are academically gifted, active in sports, and are serious musicians, singers and performing artists. In the past couple of weeks Allegra kids have lit up the local school stages around town with their performance craft.
Logan Riley, piano Student of Ms. Flo Simons, wowed audiences with his stellar leading man performance of the dubious yet sincere conman Harold Hill in Montgomery Lower Middle School’s production of Meredith Wilson’s The Music Man. Ms. Katie Gornick’s vocal student and Allegra Summer Theater Camp 2012 alum, the always exuberant Matthew Jarzyna gave a convincing portrayal of the protective mayor George Shinn of River City Iowa. Neeraj Arunkumar, Ms. Flo’s piano student, captured our attention in the opening scene as one of the disgruntled salesmen on the train to River City discussing the antics of the infamous conman, Professor Harold Hill.
In the 6th Grade production of The Music Man, our very own Mary Sisler, vocal student of Ms. Katie, played the lead role of savvy spinster music teacher and town librarian, Marian Paroo, the unlikely love interest of Professor Harold Hill. This is one of my favorite musicals with its big company numbers such as Seventy Six Trombones and the famous duet Till There Was You sang by Professor Hill and Marian Paroo. Congratulations to director, Dr. Gordon, the entire production crew and parent volunteers and the large casts of 5th and 6th grade production.
