HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Longtime Committeeman Frank DelCore will not seek re-election on the Hillsborough Township Committee in 2022, the Hillsborough Twp Republican Organization announced Tuesday.

DelCore moved to Hillsborough in 2001 with his wife Renee, and their two daughters Rebecca and Kristin. He was first elected in 2008.

"Hillsborough Township has been very fortunate to have Frank DelCore represent the residents of
Hillsborough for the past 15 years," stated Hillsborough Republican Chairman and Former Hillsborough Mayor and County Freeholder Ken Scherer. "Frank has been an exemplary public servant that has always put the best interest of Hillsborough and its residents first."

Over his tenure, DelCore served as a "fiscal watchdog" to ensure that the township’s taxpayer dollars were spent efficiently. He also has been part of many accomplishments in town, including Hillsborough being named "one of the Best Places to Live in America” multiple times, completion of the Route 206 Bypass, acquisition of the GSA Depot and development of Mountainview Park and removal of federal government’s mercury stockpile from Hillsborough.

"I have loved every minute of my time in office. Although I will miss representing our town, I know it is the right time to allow the next generation of leaders to continue the work my wonderful colleagues and I have started," said DelCore.
