Hillsborough High School Cheerleaders Donate To Steps-Together Organization
HHS Cheerleaders donate a portion of the proceeds from the annual Homecoming t-shirt sale to local Steps-Together organization.

In early September the Hillsborough High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleading teams started to sell the traditional and much anticipated Homecoming T-shirts “BORO TACKLES CANCER” for the annual Homecoming football game which was played on October 17, 2014. For the past four years the Cheer Booster Club has picked an organization that relates to Cancer and donates a portion of the proceeds to that organization. This year the organization that was chosen was a local organization called Steps Together (http://www.steps-together.org) which was actually founded by HHS Alumni.
This year the cheer teams sold the most t-shirts they ever have and the Booster Club was able to make a $2000.00 donation to the Steps Together organization!
The funds were raised specifically for families in Hillsborough battling cancer. The Biviano family was able to attend the homecoming game to accept the check on behalf of Steps Together. We wanted the girls who worked so hard selling shirts to meet some of the people they are helping.
This was a night when awareness was raised about both organizations.
Thank you to all who helped make this years Homecoming T-shirt sale a huge success and to all those who made the Homecoming night a special night for many, especially one local family.
We look forward to next years homecoming and helping those in need again.
