Hillsborough Locals Invited to Design Commemorative Logo

Deadline to design logo to celebrate Municipal Complex's 25 Years is Dec. 21

Hillsborough, NJ -- In 2016, the Hillsborough Township Municipal Complex will celebrate its 25th Anniversary.

To celebrate the silver anniversary, the township is hosting a contest to design a commemorative logo which will be used for a banner and letterhead for the year as well as other festivities during the year.

The Hillsborough Township Municipal Complex, originally dedicated on Jan. 14, 1991, was the vision of then Mayor Peter J. Biondi. The building was later dedicated to the late politician who later became a Somerset County Freeholder and ultimately a member of the New Jersey Assembly before his untimely passing in 2011.

The intention was to design a complex to be a central location for various community entities. The goal was to place under one roof the Municipal Departments, Police Headquarters, the Board of Education Offices and the Hillsborough Branch of the Somerset County Library System.

The goal was fulfilled when this flagship building was formerly dedicated in January of 1991.
