Hillsborough's Radwan Named Top Special Education Administrator In NJ

Dr. Suzan Radwan was named New Jersey Association of School Administrators Special Education State Administrator of the Year.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — Congrats Dr. Suzan Radwan! She was named New Jersey Association of School Administrators(NJASA) Special Education State Administrator of the Year.

"Radwan was chosen for her innovative community-based instruction. The development of a CBI program that integrates students of all ages and grades into the community and for being a true leader and advocate for all students with disabilities," said NJASA Executive Director Dr. Richard Bozza

Radwan began her career as a school psychologist in the Newark Public School system. During her 10 years there she became supervisor of special education and eventually the director of operations in the office of special education.

She later became the director of special services for the Hoboken Public Schools and for the past nine years has been the director of special services for Hillsborough Township.

"Radwan developed and spearheaded many inclusive programs integrating students with disabilities with their neurotypical peers. She wrote the grants and established unified basketball, track, and soccer sports teams," said Bozza.
