Man Pulls Down Pants, Exposes Self To Girl In Somerset County: Prosecutor

A Princeton man was charged in connection with the indecent exposure near an undisclosed educational facility in Montgomery, police said.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — A Princeton man was charged after police say he pulled down his pants and exposed himself to a girl near an educational facility in Montgomery.

Shuai Shen, 54, of Maidenhead Road, Princeton, was charged with third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree lewdness, according to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor and Montgomery Township Officer In Charge Lieutenant Tom Frascella.

On Saturday, Oct. 1, a juvenile girl reported to the Montgomery Police that an unknown man pulled down his pants an exposed himself to her as she was walking by him in an undisclosed educational facility in Montgomery Township.

The girl was interviewed by detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Abuse Unit and as a result of the investigation, Shen was identified as a possible suspect.

On Saturday, Oct. 8, while conducting a surveillance detail at the educational facility, Montgomery Police Officers saw Shen arrive and enter the facility wearing similar clothes as to what he was wearing on Oct. 1.

Shen was seen entering the facility and then exiting a few minutes later. Officers approached Shen, placed him in custody without incident, and took him to the Montgomery Police Department.

Shen was later taken to the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing in this matter.
