Mask Mandate Returns Temporarily In This Somerset County Town Due To Increased COVID Cases
A total of 146 positive cases were reported in Somerset County on Thursday, according to NJ Department of Health.
MONTGOMERY, NJ — Masks are back, temporarily, in this Somerset County town due to increased COVID-19 cases.
Montgomery Township announced that it is temporarily reinstating a mask mandate for Township employees and members of the public inside Township-owned buildings.
The mandate is also in effect while people are indoors during Township-sponsored programs, including Recreation Department activities.

The policy will be reevaluated every two weeks.
There have been 124 new cases of COVID-19 in Montgomery and Rocky Hill since May 19, the township reported.

"Our numbers continue to omit at-home tests, which are believed to be used by many people testing positive. Please continue exercising increased caution when gathering in groups," said the township.
In Somerset County, 146 positive cases were reported on Thursday alone, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.
