New Brunwick Man Injured In Somerset Shooting

Authorities are investigating a shooting in the Somerset Section of Franklin Township on Wednesday that injured a New Brunswick man.

SOMERSET, NJ — Police are investigating a shooting in the Somerset section of Franklin Township on Wednesday afternoon. Multiple 9-1-1 calls came in around 3:35 p.m. on April 19 reporting gunshots fired in the area of Fuller Street in Franklin Township. A 29-year-old New Brunswick man was found at the location suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his lower extremity, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced.

The victim was given medical aid and transported to a local trauma center for emergency medical treatment.

An investigation by the Franklin Township Police Department, along with detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit have found that this was an isolated incident and detectives are trying to determine the motive.
