Pitucco is currently serving as the Director of Human Resources in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional School District.

He has nearly 20 years of experience in New Jersey public schools as a Director of Human Resources, according to Hillsborough Superintendent Michael Volpe.

Pitucco also teaches Human Resources as an adjunct and part-time professor at Rutgers and Kean University.

"Being a former Human Resources person myself, Mr. Pitucco and I worked in a lot of the same circles," said Volpe who welcomed him to the district.

"I'm eager to contribute to the growth and success of the district and I look forward to collaborating with everyone here," said Pitucco. "I believe working together we will achieve great things for our employees and our students and the entire district. And I am excited to get started."

New Positions

Additionally, at the Monday meeting, the school board voted to create two new positions in the district.

One full-time instructional assistant position at Woods Road Elementary School and

one full-time special education preschool teacher position at Triangle Elementary School both were created due to increased enrollment and student IEP needs.

"The Board believes that it is in the best interest of the school district" to create the new positions, according to resolutions.

Both positions would go into effect as of Sept. 1.
