• Hillsborough OKs Police Promotions, Vehicle Purchase, IT Backup Upgrade (patch.com) — Hillsborough residents will see continued investment in local police, as the Township Committee finalized promotions for two supervisors and approved funding for a new patrol vehicle and key technology upgrades. Recent actions include permanent appointments for a lieutenant and sergeant, new IT battery backups, a Ford Police Interceptor with lighting and radio equipment, and a capital ordinance for an upgraded phone system.
   

• Senior Center Expansion Planned In Hillsborough (patch.com) — Hillsborough seniors could soon see a much larger, upgraded county senior center on South Branch Road, as Somerset County has bought 2.5 acres next to the current site for expansion. Local officials say the existing facility is overcrowded and are tying this project to broader efforts and donations aimed at better serving the township's growing senior population.
   

• Somerset County VoTech Students Lead Stress Management Workshop For Children (patch.com) — Hillsborough families recently had access to a free stress-management and confidence-building workshop for kids at the Hillsborough Library, led by Somerset County VoTech's UNICEF Club. Student organizers used games, role-playing, and Psychological First Aid concepts to help local children recognize stress, handle bullying, and practice healthy coping skills they can use at home and school.
