• Somerset County to Hold Fall Surplus Auction from October 14 to October 21 (town.news) — Hillsborough residents can inspect Somerset County's surplus vehicles, electronics, and equipment at the South County Public Works Facility on Roycefield Road before bidding online in the October 14–21 auction. With items sold as-is and a 10% buyer's premium, bidders are urged to review terms, inspect in person on October 16 or 17, and be ready for prompt payment and pickup.
   

• Sundance Institute, Islamic Scholarship Fund Select Building Bridges Fellows (broadwayworld.com) — Hillsborough's Duke Farms will host a retreat this October for the latest Building Bridges Fellows, a program supporting U.S. Muslim filmmakers backed by the Doris Duke Foundation, Sundance Institute, and Islamic Scholarship Fund. While the fellowship is national in scope, the gathering brings a cohort of emerging storytellers to Hillsborough for mentorship, collaboration, and creative development on its 2,700-acre campus.
