Design Plans For Amsterdam Drive Phase 3 Project Move Forward In Hillsborough
The township authorized spending $41,000 for design plans and specs for the final phase of the Amsterdam Drive project.
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The final phase of the Amsterdam Drive project is underway.
On Tuesday night, the Hillsborough Township Committee authorized spending $41,000 for Pennoni Associates to provide design plans and specifications for the third and final phase of the roadway improvements.
The plans and specifications must be submitted to the New Jersey Department of Transportation to be approved before the township can go out to bid on the project.

Work for the final phase, which includes the roadway between Murphy Drive and Amwell Road, is anticipated to start in 2024.
In February, the NJDOT awarded a Local Aid grant to the township for $368,400 for the repaving of Amsterdam Drive. Read More: $368K Awarded To Complete Amsterdam Drive In Hillsborough

"The township received grants for all three phases so full repaving will be at a minimal cost to the township," said Hillsborough Committeeman John Ciccarelli at the Feb. 14 meeting.

The second phase, which includes Amsterdam Drive between Vliet Drive and Murphy Drive, will begin this coming spring.
