President Biden To Land At Hillsborough Airport, See Flood Damage
President Joe Biden will land at Central Jersey Regional Airport in Hillsborough Tuesday morning before seeing the flood damage in Manville.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — President Joe Biden will be landing at Central Jersey Regional Airport in Hillsborough Tuesday morning before he heads into Manville to see the flood damage caused by Tropical Storm Ida.
Biden is expected to land at the airport at 1034 Millstone River Road at 11:40 a.m. He will then meet Gov. Phil Murphy and other local officials at 12:15 p.m. to discuss the devastating impacts of Ida.
At 2:10 p.m., Biden will tour Manville's flooded neighborhood. At 3:10 p.m. he will head back to the airport to fly to Queens, New York to view more damage from Ida before returning to Washington, DC.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued temporary flight restrictions for VIP Movement on Tuesday.
On Sunday, Biden declared that a major disaster exists in the state of New Jersey and Somerset County due to the unprecedented damage and flooding from Hurricane Ida.

Biden's declaration is significant because it makes extra federal funding available to people who live in the counties of Bergen, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Passaic and Somerset, area that experienced either fatal flooding or home-destroying tornadoes. Manville was particularly hit hard during the recent storm as it dealt with major flooding, house fires and two explosions - one home and one restaurant.
