Added Security, Staff Looks Likely In Hillsborough: Unofficial Results

Hillsborough voters weighed in on two questions centered on security and bringing back staff.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — The 2023 unofficial General Election votes are showing that Hillsborough School District's referendum for added security and staff is likely to pass, according to unofficial results.

Hillsborough voters were asked to spend a total of an additional $2.8 million to create a security department and add staffing at the school district.

Here are the real-time unofficial results for the Referendum, and Board of Education candidates. According to Somerset County, 97.22 percent of the districts have reported. However, these results remain unofficial until all mail-in and provisional ballots are counted:
