Reward Doubled In Search For Murder Suspect

The reward has doubled in search of a Manville man, who stabbed a Franklin man before he crashed into a doctor's office with his young son

FRANKLIN, NJ — Crime Stoppers of Somerset County have doubled their initial reward from $1,000 to up to $2,000 for information leading to the whereabouts and arrest of a man who was charged with stabbing another before he crashed into a doctor's office Monday while he had his young son in his car, authorities said.

Police are searching for Isaiah J. Bell, aka “Ike” who allegedly stabbed James M. Kargbo of Franklin Township during a fight on Monday, Sept. 5 around 11:23 a.m., according to Acting Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.

Kargbo and Bell had gotten into the physical altercation in the area of Coventry Lane and Westminster Road in North Brunswick.

During the fight Kargbo was allegedly stabbed by Bell, who fled in a four-door sedan, which was recovered, according to police.

Kargbo entered his vehicle which his 6-year-old son was sitting in, and attempted to drive onto Route 27. Kargbo’s vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a nearby medical building. He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – New Brunswick where he was subsequently pronounced deceased, according to reports.

Bell has been charged with 1st Degree Murder.

Bell's last known address is Brooks Blvd. in Manville. He is described as being 21 years old, 6’1”, 160 lbs., with brown eyes and brown hair.
