Somerset County Surpasses 10,000 Coronavirus Cases

As of Tuesday, Somerset County has 141 new coronavirus cases bringing its total to 10,052, according to the state.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — In a depressing update, Somerset County has surpassed 10,000 positive coronavirus cases since the pandemic began in March.

As of Tuesday, Somerset County has 141 new coronavirus cases bringing its total to 10,052, according to the state.

Since March there have been 542 confirmed deaths and 76 probable deaths connected to the coronavirus in Somerset County.

Franklin Township is the hardest hit in the county with 2,548 cases and 165 deaths followed by Hillsborough and Bridgewater.

Here is a look at the entire county's coronavirus numbers, according to Somerset County Health Department as of Tuesday. (Note that Somerset County reported totals may differ from town's or the state's own numbers because of reporting times and other variations.)

  • Bedminster Township: 130 cases (4 deaths)
  • Bernards Township: 565 cases (42 deaths)
  • Bernardsville Borough: 216 cases (3 deaths)
  • Bound Brook Borough: 611 cases (16 deaths)
  • Branchburg Township: 270 cases (5 deaths)
  • Bridgewater Township: 1,047 cases (77 deaths)
  • Far Hills Borough: 11 cases (0 deaths)
  • Franklin Township: 2,548 cases (165 deaths)
  • Green Brook Township: 235 cases (33 deaths)
  • Hillsborough Township & Millstone: 938 cases (81 deaths)
  • Manville Borough: 374 cases (11 deaths)
  • Montgomery Township: 375 cases (6 deaths)
  • North Plainfield Borough: 828 cases (39 deaths)
  • Peapack-Gladstone Borough: 90 cases (1 death)
  • Raritan Borough: 277 cases (14 deaths)
  • Rocky Hills Borough: 10 cases (0 deaths)
  • Somerville Borough: 367 cases (7 deaths)
  • South Bound Brook Borough: 196 cases (3 deaths)
  • Warren Township: 347 cases (16 deaths)
  • Watchung Borough: 180 cases (15 deaths)

New Jersey now has had 377,055 coronavirus cases and 15,590 deaths.
