Woman Injured In Somerset Shooting
Police are investigating a shooting in the Somerset section of Franklin that left one woman injured with a non-life threatening gunshot.

FRANKLIN, NJ — Police are investigating a shooting in the Somerset section of Franklin Township on Friday night that left one woman injured with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson announced.
A 9-1-1 call reporting gunshots in the area of Baier Avenue in the Somerset section of Franklin Township was reported around 11:48 p.m. on April 28.
An 18-year-old woman was found suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound to her lower extremity, police reported.

She was treated by emergency officials and then transported to a local trauma center for emergency treatment.
Franklin Township Police Department, along with detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit are conducting an investigation that revealed this was an isolated incident and the victim was not the intended target.
