6 Men Charged With Drug Offenses After Hoboken Police Investigate
Four Hoboken men and two from nearby towns were charged with a slew of drug offenses during a Hoboken Police Department investigation.
HOBOKEN, NJ — After investigating for two weeks, the Hoboken Street Crimes Unit has arrested and charged six local men with a slew of drug crimes.
The following were charged:
- Albert Stone, 36, of Hoboken and Jason Garcia, 19, of Guttenberg
On Friday, May 6, around 9:40 p.m., The Hoboken Police Department Street Crimes Unit’s Sgt. William Collins, Detectives Mark Mullins, Ryan Houghton, Connor Milne, and others were conducting an investigation in the area of Third and Harrison Streets. During that time, police say, they observed Stone sell suspected drugs to Garcia.

The two men were charged with:
Albert Stone: Sale of heroin, sale of cocaine, sale of both within 500 feet of public housing and within 1,000 feet of a school zone, possession with intent to distribute, possession of oxycodone, possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

Jason Garcia: Possession of crack cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
Stone was taken to the Hudson County jail and Garcia was released on a summons to appear in court.
- Frederick Ladson, 51, of Hoboken and Selvin Garcia, 18, of West New York
Police say that last Wednesday, they observed Frederick Ladson sell suspected drugs to Garcia around 5:30 p.m. near 318 Harrison St.
Ladson was charged with sale of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession within 500 feet of public housing, and possession within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
Selvin was charged with heroin possession.
They were both taken to the Hudson County jail.
- Derrick Delacruz, 28, of Hoboken, and Edwin Rosado, 55, of Hoboken
Police said they saw Delacruz sell suspected drugs to Rosado at 6:30 p.m. on May 12, near Third Street and Marshall Drive.
Delacruz was charged with sale of heroin, sale within 500 feet of public housing, sale within 1,000 feet of a school zone, possession with intent to distribute heroin, resisting arrest using physical force causing bodily injury to law enforcement, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
Rosado was charged with heroin possession and had an open warrant, police said.
Police said they captured Delacruz after a foot chase, but Delacruz grabbed Detective Houghton and they both fell. Houghton suffered a minor injury, police said.
Both were taken to the Hudson County jail.
