NYC Man Arrested In Connection With Hoboken Terminal Fire
A New York City man was arrested for arson after a fire delayed buses outside Hoboken Train Terminal on Sunday, a transit spokesman said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A New York City man was arrested on an arson charge on Sunday after a fire started in the outdoor bus lane area of Hoboken Train Terminal on Sunday, a transit spokesman said.
"At approximately 2:45 p.m., New Jersey Transit Police were notified of a fire coming from an electrical box located on the walkway near the Hoboken Bus Terminal," said NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith on Sunday. "Hoboken Fire Department extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. Bus traffic into the terminal was temporarily detoured but has since resumed."
Smith said that a 37-year-old New York City man was arrested a short time later for arson and taken into custody.

Smith said that Kevin Newton has been charged with arson and criminal mischief. "New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation," he said.
Video posted by HudPost showed a brightly burning blaze in the outdoor area where NJ Transit buses drop passengers off. A person in the video can be heard saying, "I don't know what that is; it looks like the garbage but I'm getting out of here," followed by a small boom. The video is here.
